Ghassoul Hair Mask

To give vitality & flexibility to your hair , you can finish your shampoo with a Rhassoul-based hair mask. There are numerous efficient recipes out there.

Here’s a traditional hair-mask / natural Ghassoul shampoo recipe used by women here in Morocco:

  • ≈ 80-100 g of Ghassoul
  • 1 Tea spoon of pure Argan oil (can also be replaced with black seed oil, lavender oil, almond oil etc..)
  • 1 Table spoon of honey
  • 1 Table spoon of milk (milk powder works as well)
  • 1 egg yolk
  • Hot water or hot camomile tea (up to you)

Put the Ghassoul + milk in a bowl & start adding the hot liquid (water or tea) a little by little.
After that add the honey, egg as well as the Argan oil & mix well again.

Apply the Rhassoul clay mask throughout your hair from root to tip.
Leave it in your hair for between 15 to 20 minutes with a shower cap on or wrapped in a warm towel (The mask shouldn’t dry).
After that, rinse thoroughly while combing your hair.

Repeat once a week (some use it even 2-3 / week) before taking a shower / bath.

Quick Alternative:

Mix 50 g Ghassoul & an egg yolk with a warm water.
Apply the clay mask to your hair starting from scalp to ends. Leave on for ≈ 15 minutes without that the Rhassoul dries, then rinse well.
